U11 Pathway Skates & Sort Outs (2013-2014 birth years)
Below you will find the schedules for Pathway Skates and Sort-outs.
Pathway skate ice times are offered as part of the Hockey Canada Player Pathway program. It gives all players the opportunity to get back on the ice in a ‘player-friendly’ scenario before formal evaluations take place. All players are invited to attend 4 pathway skates to kick off their season before sort outs. Attendance for the pathway skates are optional however, players are encouraged to attend all four 1-hour sessions. There is no additional cost for these sessions.
Following the pathway skates, players are required to attend the sort-outs to allow us to create balanced house league teams for the upcoming season. The sort outs will consist of station based skills evaluations on day 1 followed by in-game evaluations on day 2. Following the weekend evaluations, teams will be created. The weekend of September 30th, all players will be assigned to a team. Coaches will be asked to perform a final review of their teams to evaluate player & team balancing in order to have a fun season for all.
Head Coaches will be in touch with their players throughout the week following sort outs and will provide you with your schedule for the upcoming weekend. If you have not heard from your head coach by the evening of Thursday, September 28th, please reach out to vphouse@kgha.ca
**IMPORTANT NOTE: Male parents and siblings are no longer permitted to enter the dressing rooms starting at the U11 age level until all players are fully dressed. Den Moms will be assigned to each dressing room to assist your player.
