KGHA :: First Shift :: Spring 2025

 

We are excited that KGHA was selected to host a girls-only NHL/NHLPA First Shift program in the spring of 2025!  The program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families.  It allows families to experience the game at its best - to understand why so many Canadians love the sport and stimulate a desire for continued participation.  It takes away any intimidation as it relates to equipment requirements through Bauer providing head-to-toe gear for all participants and it provides a fun experience that is memorable and fun.  

 

Do you know of a young person between the ages of 6 & 10 who may want to learn to play our great game of hockey, has never registered with a minor hockey association, and might be interested in trying the sport next spring?  To learn more, suggest they visit www.firstshift.ca or email vphouse@kgha.ca for more information.

 

Later in the season, KGHA will formally invite volunteers to contribute to the successful execution of the First Shift program.  At present, if you wish to assist with the planning activities, volunteer as a Lead Instructor (x1 required), or have any inquiries please get in touch with us at vphouse@kgha.ca
