KANATA GIRLS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

Position: Treasurer

Location: Kanata, Ontario

Organization: Kanata Girls Hockey Association (KGHA)

Position Overview: KGHA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer. The Treasurer will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the association, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the association's financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Review and Present financial statements and reports to the Board of Directors.
• Develop and maintain the annual budget in collaboration with the Board.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and policies.
• Monitor cash flow
• Support the annual audit process.
• Maintain effective internal controls and procedures.
• Attend Board meetings and provide financial insights and recommendations.

Required Experience:

• CPA designation preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
• Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a non-profit or sports organization.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in budget development and financial planning.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
