Founded more than 35 years ago, the Kanata Girls Hockey Association grew slowly until 1990 when the first ever Women's World Championships were played here in Ottawa. Registration shot through the roof, and we have continued to grow to become one of the largest Girls Association in Eastern Ontario with over 700 players of all ages, playing on more than 40 teams!
The KGHA draws girls from Kanata as well as the neighbouring communities of Stittsville, Richmond and West Carleton. Our annual KGHA tournaments draw teams from across the province, Quebec and the U.S.

Resource section with Policy.
