Coach's Letter

Goal 

The goal is to provide a higher level of development and play than what is offered by the House program. It is for those considering competing in the future, and for those who are not but want more than House. This program is not meant for beginners, nor is it meant to be an all-star team. 

Roster 

The roster size will be between 22 and 25 players, with 17 of those being the core team (15 players plus 2 goalies) allowing them to participate in all practices, games, and tournaments. The remaining 5-8 will be alternates, allowing them to participate in all practices and be called up for games (exhibition and tournament) when needed. Note, the intention is to have 17 players at each game and so call-ups are likely. 

Selection process 

There will be two evaluation ice times (try-outs), November 1 and November 8. The team will be set by the weekend of Nov 12/13 and the first practice is Tuesday, November 15. 

Schedule 

In addition to the Tuesday evening ice times from November to April, expect up to 8 exhibition games and two tournaments (Family Day weekend in Ottawa, Easter Weekend in Brampton). We will also seek extra ice when available (5-10 times) as well as other off-ice activities. 

Fees 

Team fees will depend on the number of players but will be in the range of $450-500 for the core team and $200 for the alternates.
